Creedon PLLC was proud to be this year’s legal sponsor for CodeLaunch Houston, a combined pitch-competition and hackathon event held on March 2, 2023, at 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas. CodeLaunch provides seed services that are invaluable to early-stage startups. Sponsors and partners help guide winning startup ventures down the path of success while minimizing their financial risk. CodeLaunch costs nothing for founders, with no cost to apply and no equity surrendered. This year, the winner of CodeLaunch Houston, Energy360 by InTech Energy, Inc. will be receiving $2,500 of legal services from Creedon PLLC to help protect and support its business and intellectual property.

CodeLaunch is a unique seed stage competition. Applicants submit applications including some proof of execution, a pitch deck, and mock-ups of their ideas. Through a rigorous process that requires applicants to hone their pitches and meet execution milestones, the CodeLaunch Selection Committee narrows the competitors down to Finalists, who are then paired with professional software development teams to help them make meaningful progress on the technology-powered elements of their ideas through a 2-day hackathon. At the live competition, the Finalists present their pitches and short demos of their ideas and live audience voting picks the winner.

Congratulations to Energy360 for winning the competition! We absolutely loved being part of this year's CodeLaunch Houston experience and hope we can sponsor and attend future competitions. CodeLaunch has now expanded to 12 cities: Atlanta (GA), Austin (TX), Calgary (CAN), Chicago (IL), Cleveland (OH), College Station (TX), Columbus (OH), Dallas (TX), Guadalajara (MEX), Houston (TX), Minneapolis (MN), and Omaha (NE). The next event will be hosted in Atlanta on May 10, 2023, from 4pm to 9pm at the Buckhead Theatre! The deadline to apply to CodeLaunch Atlanta is March 10, 2023.
